In November of 2011, Butler along with Estella Warren began shooting the thriller based on psychological research The Stranger Within in Mallorca in Spain. The film was also set to shoot at Copenhagen Denmark and New York City.She was part of the crew for the independent feature Treachery featuring Michael Biehn which began filming in Los Angeles in June 2012.
